Heart Won’t Stop Lyrics and link to the Chord Chart:

Verse 1: There is not a man or a beast, nothing on the land or underneath, Oh nothing that could ever come between,  the love you have for me

I could lay my head in Sheol, I could make my bed at the bottom of the darkness deep, Oh but there is not a place I could escape you

Chorus: Your heart won’t stop coming after me,Your heart won’t stop coming after me, Your heart won’t stop coming after me

Verse 2: There is not an angel of the stars, there is not a devil in the dark, Oh nothing that could change the way you are, the love you have for me

I could lay my head in Sheol, I could make my bed at the bottom of the darkness deep, Oh but there is not a place I could escape you

Chorus: Your heart won’t stop coming after me,Your heart won’t stop coming after me, Your heart won’t stop coming after me

I could lay my head in Sheol, I could make my bed at the bottom of the darkness deep, Oh but there is not a place I could escape you

Chorus: Your heart won’t stop coming after me,Your heart won’t stop coming after me, Your heart won’t stop coming after me

Lyrics
“Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)”
by Hillsong United

You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand

And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You’ve never failed and You won’t start now

So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

I will call upon Your name
Keep my eyes above the waves
My soul will rest in Your embrace
I am Yours and You are mine

Coffee for change

I’m extremely proud to be part of the Don Moen management team and to have worked closely with him over the last decade on various projects and releases. We have a killer team that’s doing amazing things. I work closely on managing his digital marketing in social media and get to release information about the latest projects and efforts we are working on like this video of our recent coffee partnership. In a future post I’ll unpack how we’ve reached over 3 million, real and active, Facebook fans, and also share information on a new site for the ministry arm of the organization. For now, I want to share a video we put together to announce a new product we sell and what happens when Don Moen fans get this coffee.

Know your audience and understand how to associate complimentary products with key relationships. I think coffee and music go great together. Drink up!

We forget how great those around us can be. We put aside their stories of what they’ve overcome and accomplished. Sometimes, to get everyday life stuff done, we have our head down in details without acknowledging how amazing the people are that we work and serve with. Lift your head up. Take time to celebrate people around you — remind them… Continue reading

Future Past from John Mark McMillan

Standard

The new song, Future Past, from John Mark McMillan is a worship cult classic. It will infect the Church. If you’ve followed John Mark’s music you know it’s been a progression to this sound, to these lyrics, and a story that’s brought us here–to this. From How He Loves, Skeleton Bones, Carbon Ribs, The Medicine, through Economy, some killer videos, nights and nights in all our cities, days weeks and months away from his family, and lots of wind through the windpipe…. to this. Future Past is one of those worship songs I hope rises with a fury. I can’t describe this song more than the videos and lyrics below. In all the years hearing people describe and deconstruct, “What is worship?”, it’s John Mark that I’ve heard add most to the conversation, and often with the simplest of descriptions. I love John Mark McMillan’s quote: “Worship isn’t music, you know, just like love isn’t kissing–but where there’s worship there will be music, like where there’s love there will be kissing.”

Watch the videos, read the lyrics, get the song and worship with it.

Lyrics to Future Past by John Mark McMillan

You hold the reins on the sun and moon
Like horses driven by kings
You cover the mountains and valleys below
With the breadth of Your mighty wings
All treasures of wisdom and things to be known
Are hidden inside of your hand
In this fortunate turn of events
You ask me to be Your friend

You, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past
You, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past

The constellations are swimming inside
The breath of your desires
Where could I run, where could I hide
From Your heart’s jealous fire
All treasures of wisdom and things to be known
Are hidden inside your hand
In this fortunate turn of events
You ask me to be Your friend

You, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past
You, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past

You are the beginning and the end
You are the beginning and the end

You, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past
You, you are my first, you are my last
You are my future and my past

Little Talks

Music quotes can be fickle and furious, and the right ones even bring comfort. This album filled a good part of my 2013. The “My Head Is An Animal” album from Of Monsters And Men gave us a bunch of gems, notably “Little Talks” and this great quote.

Perfect Body—The video you won’t believe

Standard

Being perfect is overrated. Being perfect is impossible, but we pass by it in marketing and advertising messages hundreds of times each day. The bar is set so high, you can’t reach it.

This video explores the reaction of models and window shoppers who get to see a different side of the what are normally perfectly chiseled, half-naked, perfect 10 mannequins wearing clothes we gawk at as if we’ll be shaped like the models once we dawn the wears. Fat chance.

I like imperfection. I like odd.
I want to think I’d pass this window with the best reaction, but I’m not so sure about that.
